Our Team Approach
As veterinarians, we understand the pressure that comes with meeting your client’s expectations when it comes to managing cardiac cases that often require advanced imaging and complex treatment choices.
Our philosophy is to bring a team approach so that your clients will have access to experienced cardiologists with state-of-the-art diagnostics and therapy, in combination with the support, follow-up assessments and ongoing care from their primary care veterinarian.
Unfortunately, sudden death can be the first sign of heart disease in dogs and cats. Delays in obtaining an accurate diagnosis can result in avoidable adverse outcomes for the patient.
When To Reach Out To Us
An accurate and timely diagnosis reduces the challenges that come with decision-making with regards to treatment plans, providing an accurate prognosis and future anaesthesia planning. This will allow your clients to feel reassured that they have targeted therapies that are tailored to suit the exact requirements of their pet’s cardiac disease.
We are aware that not all clients are able to pursue a cardiac referral and we are available to provide free advice to veterinarians requesting specialist input to improve outcomes for those patients.
Following the first consultation, our service philosophy is to continue to assist where needed as an extension of the cardiac care your clinic offers that patient, for the remainder of the patient’s life.
Lastly, all patients that are considered an emergency will be seen the same day. It is important to us that our schedule fits around the needs of the patient, rather than having an emergent patient be required to fit into our regular appointment schedules.
