Conveniently located at The Centre in Underwood, this cutting-edge facility is designed to set new benchmarks in veterinary cardiology, ensuring the highest level of care for our cardiology patients and their families.
As Australia’s only dedicated cardiology specialist facility, our new hospital will feature:
- Australia’s first cardiology hybrid surgical theatre, providing innovative surgical capabilities, including the latest mitral valve TEER/V Clamp procedure and open-heart mitral valve repair under cardiopulmonary bypass.
- A dedicated cardiology ICU, equipped with the latest monitoring and diagnostic technology to optimise patient outcome.
- ISFM Gold Standard Feline Friendly accreditation, ensuring stress-free experiences for feline patients with separate cat-only spaces, including a dedicated entrance, waiting area, ICU, and day stay ward.
- Expanded specialist team, now including three specialist cardiologists, two cardiology residents, and a dedicated support team of experienced cardiology nurses.
- The latest in diagnostic equipment, optimising our ability to perform non-invasive procedures with precision.
- A seamless transition for existing clients, as patient records will be automatically transferred for continuity of care.
- 24-hour cardiac care, provided by the highly skilled Pet ICU team located alongside VSS in Springwood.
In recognition of the travel needs of our clients from the Gold Coast and Northern NSW, we have introduced priority scheduling to minimise travel times, ensuring efficient and stress-free appointments with booking times designed to avoid peak traffic on the M1.
